Australian Television viewers have at least received something positive and original from Papua New Guinea
It was through music on Channel Ten from a group called Sheppard.
The performers George and Amy Sheppard are incidentallythe children of well knowPNG lawyer, Greg Sheppard.
Withtheir hit’song Let Me Down Easy,the Sheppard Siblings are doing exceptionally well in Australia. Their song is currently number one onthe Southern Cross Network and Australian Top 20 Charts.
The two are signed to Empire of Songs Records, an independent record label owned bytheir fther.
They currently reside in Beisbane but George and Amy Sheppard grew up in Port Moresby and attendedthe Ela MurrayInternational School. It wasthere thattheir musical talents were encouraged bythein PNG Music Veteran, Beruka Tau. He is alsotheir Music Director.
The duo appeared on Australia’s Channel Ten News hosted by award winning JournalistoHamish MacDonald. They were also giventhe chance to perform too.
The Sheppard’s haven’t forgotten home,they will be coming tPNG in October to perform live atthe RH Vision City Dynasty Restaurant soon.
