“I am truly sorry that Pistol and Boo were not declared. Protecting Australia is important.”

Kirk, told the court she had made a “tired, terrible mistake”.

He further defended his client saying she’s been jetlagged and worried about a hand injury Depp received on set, and had taken for granted all arrangemen’s for their pets had been made.

Australian Deputy Prime Minister, Barnaby Joyce, was pleased with the couple’s apology after having chosen to go public with his complaint on their violation of the countries biosecurity laws.

“I am happy that Heard has admitted that’she was wrong, and as such, that clearly shows that our position in pursuit of this was correct. I’m also happy that within the outcome we have now, basically, a piece by Depp and Heard, which clearly underpins Australia’s biosecurity requiremen’s.”
