Capital rugby Union have named a 23-Men travelling squad for the Rugby Challenge to held in Daru this weekend.
After the trail match that was staged on the Queen’s Birthday, the squad comprises of both young and experienced players.
The team see’s the selection of young loose-head prop, Derek Paraka from Harlequins, who’ll have the support of experienced Nova’s Josh Vakona and University’s Wesley Thomas in the front row.
Complimenting them in the second row, Defence Chris Namani will be assisted by infamous Scrum-half Liebert Suang.
Without much deliberation the team are: Derek Paraka (Harlequins), Josh Vakona (Nova), Wesley Thomas ( University), Aaron Miai (Wanderers), Ahulo Ottio (Brothers), Getsi Raka, Chris Namani (Defence), Alex Haija (Southern Cheifs), Liebert Suang(Defence), Junior Kautu(Harlequins), Clint Kut (Brothers), Kirarock Ngaffin(Defence), Roland Namo (Harlequins),Oswald Gela(Harlequins), Mara Katam (Brothers).
Reserves: Misiel Silas (Defence), Mark Pilon(Harlequins), Foster Maso (Wanderers), Keremy Kuveu (Defence), Adeck Naio(Defence), Jacob Vodo (Nova), Bomai Kaupa (Defence) and Titus Lunguni (Defence).
While the non-travelling sees Dean Manale (Southern Chiefs), Allan Capanis ( Wanderers), Philip Suapo (University) and Fairi Fairi(Harlequins).
Head Coach Sydney Wesley and the squad will be accompanied by Assistant coach, Joe Kautu, Team Manager, Anthony Pangkatana, and Trainer Paul Joseph.
