Human Rights Judge, Justice David Cannings, has issued court orders to prevent the eviction of settlers at Morobe Block, outside Port Moresby.
The orders from the Waigani National Court were given, after the court found that the title of potion 975, the area in dispute, was illegally transferred to an individual in September 2013.
Three weeks ago, settlers at Morobe Block raised concerns on what they claimed was an illegal eviction notice given to them.
The matter was addressed by both Lands and Housing ministers and the settlers were encouraged to produce proper documents to prove their ownership of the land.
The matter returns to court in September.
