The count down tothe Sepik Iron Man in Wewak has begun. The lead up competitions kicked off last week with swimming and will go into kid’s triathlon this weekend.
This is to prepare athletes for the main Event.
A total of fifty two teams are confirmed to participate inthe Sepik Iron Man Triathlon Event in Wewak.
The first lead up competition was swimming which was held last weekend with a good turnout. A total of forty four individuals participated to which eight were females.
This weekend will bethe kid’s triathlon strictly for children betweenthe ages of 9 and 16 years.
There will be two categories; children betweenthe ages of 9 and 12years and 15-16 years. Number of children participating is not confirmed but over fifty children are expected.
Meantime,the committees are hard at work to get everything in place for the big event.
