Corporate houses were in their colours once again to kick-off the Pacific MMI Corporate Soft-Pitch Softball tournament at the Port Moresby Bisini Diamonds yesterday.
After the successful staging of the Charity Cup over the long Easter weekend, the tournament has attracted 29 corporate entities in the Nation’s Capital.
The tournament consists of 3 pools. In Pool A, Pacific MMI will be up against Digicel, Price Waterhouse Coopers, Nambawan Super and Nasfund.
In Pool B, ANZ team 1, InterOil team 2, Oil Search. The afternoon matches saw Trukai pitch up against Swire Shipping team 1 in a tight match and PNG Electoral Commission forfeited PNG Ports to put their first points on the board.
While in Pool C, Agility, and Twivey Lawyers will look forward to next weekend’s match for a strong comeback.
The family-oriented tournament is aimed at promoting healthy living and lifestyle, as well as gender equity within respective organisations.
All teams are expected to come 30 minutes early and fully attired to next weekend’s matches.
