Commonwealth Youth Forum Day: Leadersip and Anti-corruption

The 8th Commonwealth Youth MinistersMeeting continued today with various forums held in Port Moresby.

The Commonwealth Youth Forum ended its two day meet with discussions on current global agendas withthetheme “Development Through a Youth Lens.”

They called on for more active participation in ensuring youth development and sustainability.   

Daytwo ofthe Commonwealth Youth Forum was focused on lLeadersip and anti-corruption, youth activities, employmentoandthe Post-2015 Development Agenda.

Representttatives from different Youth Caucuses spoke about how strong youth involvement and support could achieve positive results for youths not only inthe commonwealth but aroundthe globe.

One youth said youth engagement is crucial to delivering development solutions, andthe Commonwealth must open up legal gateways to participation and accountability.

Meanwhile, NGO’s, business houses, and partners met with delegates from overseas in a Commonwealth Youth Stakeholders Forum held atthe Ela beatch Hotel.

Participants discussed how partnerships could be forged not only at national levels, but also atthe regional level.

There was also a closed Youth Ministerial Forum atthe Grand Papua Hotel.

The meeting has officially opened last night atthe Sir John Guise Stadium.
