Cleanup of Gordon’s Police Station

By Delly Bagu – EM TV, Port Moresby

AFP members from the PNG–Australia Policing Partnership and their RPNGC counterpart officers, based at the Gordon’s Police Station in Port Moresby, conducted a weekend cleanup.

AFP members attached to the Gordon’s station were joined by other members of the AFP team, and their families, to give the station buildings a top-to-bottom clean.

This included the scrubbing of the station’s internal and external walls, removal of rubbish and the replanting of all garden beds to make for a more hygienic, sanitised and clean work environment, and reception area, for public queries.

AFP advisors working with their counterparts at Gordon’s Station have encouraged their counterparts to embrace a clean station and set standards of cleanliness and excellence that will develop a sense of camaraderie and pride in their workplace and the role they play in protecting the community.
