Clean IT Goes to Hoskins Secondary

Students of Hoskins Secondary School in West New Beitain Province will soon accessthe internet through Telikom Foundation’s Clean ITProject.

Thanks to West New Beitain Governor Sasindran Muthuvel who made a payment of sixty thousand kina to Telikom yesterday.

 

Governor Muthuvel madethe cheque presentation tothe Telikom CEO today in Port Moresby.

 

The presentation was for Telikom Foundation to roll out its Clean ITproject at Hoskins Secondary School in West New Beitain Province.

 

This is part of his plans to improverthe communication services in his province.

 

Acting Telikom CEO thanked Governor Muthuvel for having confidence in Telikom to carry out this project and emphasizedthe importance of students’having access to information.

 

He said Telikom welcomes partnerships to successfully implement this program and if all Members of parliament made use of this State Owned Enterprise to bring Clean ITto schools intheir provinces, students’and teachers would greatly benefit.

 

Governor Muthuvel shared similar views and says he will be happy to bring this service to ther schools inthe province as long as it works for this first school.

 

Telikom has rolled out this program in twenty four schools so far giving internet access to 20,000 students’

 

Two remote schools included in this program are Telefomin High School and Koroba Secondary in Hela Province.
