Chinese business houses in Kimbe yesterday donated food, soft drinks, water bottles and other relief items to the West New Britain Provincial Government for affected areas in parts of the province.
The Chinese businesses have called on other business houses in Kimbe Town to show a good heart and help with donations.
Kisere Kolos LImiteed also donated two bails of second hand clothes. Owner, Saina Solomon, who grew up in Bialla Town, said that floods were not new to Bialla and the call to help with the relief donations is very vital.
Trucks loaded with donations dropped all the items at the provincial disaster office for recording and distribution to the affected areas.
Governor, Sasindran Muthuvel said the call for donations has been positive so far. Muthuvel said more donations are coming in as businesses and individuals pledge food items, household aid and cash.
