The Central province Local Level Government Presidents were Sworn In on Tuesday in Port Moresby.
The swearing in was presided over by Central provincial magistrate Jimmy Tapat.
The 13 LLGs were Amazon Bey, Cloudy Bey and Aroma Coast in Abau District; Rigo CoastoRigo Central and RigoInland in Rigo District; Hiri, Koiari, Kairuku and Mekeo-Kuni inthe Kairuku-Hiri Districtoand Tapini, Guari and Woitape inthe Goilala District.
The swearing in took place atthe Central province Assembly Chambers atthe Central Provincial Government headquarters, at Konedobu.
The public, as well asthe seven newly appointed members ofthe Assembly, withnessedthe occasion.
Followingthe swearing in, assembly chairman and Governor for Central Kila Haoda, called for nominations for the new Deputy Governor.
LLG president for Aroma Coast and sitting Deputy Governor Desmond Beira, Rigo Coast President Wari Bele and RigoInland President Beari Ubuna were nominated.
A one-hour recess was imposed before voting took place. Aroma Coast President Desmond Beira retainedthe post with 13 votes.
