Central Province Governor, Robert Agarobe, is pushing the agenda for the decentralisation of powers from the national government, to Provincial and Local Level governments.

In an interview with EMTV News during the launching of the National Economic Fiscal Commission 2019 to 2022 Corporate Plan recently, Governor Agarobe highlighted the importance of local level governments, and the empowerment of people through decentralisation systems.

The decentralisation of powers from the national government to provincial and local level governments will provide people, especially those in rural LLG’s, to use allocated resources to run their administrative affairs.

Governor Agarobe emphasised that decentralisation should help improve service delivery.

Governor Agarobe emphasized the importance of reviewing government institutions, especially those in LLG’s.

According to the governor, ward Councillors do not receive active participation and cooperation from people due to lack of funding to support the work of the LLG wards.

The Central Governor explained the link between the role of the NEFC and service delivery in all levels of government.
