Central Governor Determined to Develop Province

Central Governor, Kila Haoda is determined to develop Central Province.

 

He made his plans known while visiting villages along the Rigo Coastline over the weekend to present cheques to the Churches there. 

One of the main projects the governor is focused on is to supply electricity to the entire region of Central Province. He said this year should see the Rigo Coast Villages connected to electricity.

 

Rigo LLG President, Wari Vele, said the project was one of his main priorities.

 

The Governor said they have formed a joint venture company called Clean Energy Central with an american company.

 

The governor also has plans to build a hospital for the Central Province. 

 

Education is another important area the governor is also working on.

 

As well as these projects, the provincial government will also focus on building Central City on land whose land title has already been obtained; the reviving of the Ilimo farm into a dairy, poultry and vegetable farm; and the Central Rice Project which will shortly be underway with the support of a Chinese company.  

 

While there, the Governor presented a cheque of K100,000  to the Hula Dixon Memorial Church for their pastor’s house. He also visited Kamali Village and donated K50, 000 to build the new Kamali United Church.

 

Cheques were also presented to Babaka United Church and Kalo Salvation Army.
