The Australian Government has pledged A$20 million towards improving health infrastructure services in the Western Province.
Australian Foreign Affairs Minister Bob Carr made the pledge during his four day trip to the PNG last week.
A major component of the assistance goes towards reducing the high number of TB cases in the province.
