Capital Rugby Union enters round 4 this weekend with more grit and determination at the Monier Rugby Park.
Last weekend saw La Sallian’s put up a fight against Nova, while Defence and University walked away with marginal victories.
Last weekend, a utility La Sallian outfit showed that size does not matter, as they took down a bigger Nova side at the Monier Rugby Park.
La Sel’s determination saw them pushing disoriented Nova outfit around the field, but Nova’s backline showed that they will be a formidable force in the future. Andrew Karai and Manu Guise, both were playing major roles in their game against the La Sallians.
University came out firing last weekend against a fully-kitted southern Chiefs side, to seal a 44-11 win. Defence, who came off a bye, took on Brothers to secure a massive 44-6 points victory.
Looking ahead to this weekend’s matches, on Saturday, a hungry Brothers outfit will be lurking the pitch for a win against La Sallians, while Defence are hoping to keep up their winning form when they take on the Southern Chiefs. And Nova will be sure to utilize their backline against last year’s premiers, the Trukai Harlequins.
On Sunday, University will be digging the turf to snout for another win as they face a determined Spartans outfit on Sunday. While the Wanderers will be taking on the Vikings, Juggernauts are on a bye.
