A by-election program has been set for the Madang Open seat andthe Ambunti-Drekikir seat in East Sepik.
The 14-day polling period will start onthe 19th of October for both districts. It ends on Novermber 22nd.
Electoral Commissioner Andrew Trawen confirmed thatthe budget estimate for the two elections is 7.3 million kina.
Mr Trawen has called onthe national government to releasethe funds immediately.
Elections will be deferred to 2014 if funds are not available beforethe issue of writs on August 29th.
He also remindedthe government ofthe funding for the recount for the Usino-Bandi electorate, so thatthPNG Electoral Commission can settle its outstanding bills and claims.
