Butibam Clan elders raise concerns about rapid loss of language

Clan elders in Butibam village in Lae have highlighted serious concerns about the rapid loss of culture and their language.

While small efforts are being made raise awareness, families are being encouraged to keep their ‘Kawac’ language alive.

In 2017, elementary school students will be taught lessons using the language.
