The Trukai’s movers to increase rice productionPNG’s fashion industry anPNG consumer trends and sophistication during festive season.

For over 40 years, Trukai has built a reputation asthe leading rice supplier in Papua New Guinea Bet nearly all its stock is brought in from Australia to be packaged in Papua New Guinea Now Trukai is moving into a higher gear. It wants to build nucleus agricultural estates and increase rice production.&nbspIn partnership with&nbspthe National Agriculture ResearchInstitute and&nbspthPNG University of Technology, this episode features Trukai trialling 36 new varieties of rice.

The fashion industry is very much new inthe Pacific region, as well as in PNG although it is a trillion dollar industry globally. This episode featuresthe Port Moresby Fashion Week held last month, showcasing local designs, and looking at howthe fashion industry can be fully utilised to become an important contributor tPNG’s economy.

As Christmas day approaches, families and individuals already have plans on whatthey will buy; thers might have already started makingtheir purchases for Christmas. This episode identifies some consumer trends and looks at whther consumers have become sophisticated year by year, giventhe many alternatives provided by retailers as business activity booms inthe country.

Albert is due to leave for Australia in early January next year.

 

PNGRFLInterim CEO, Bead Tassell, announced today that Albert has agreed tothe contract withthe Penrith Pathers commencing in 2014. Albert will be released immediately from hin PNG Queensland Cup contract to take upthe Penrith offer and will start training with Penrith in early January.

 

The contract will see Albert start withthe Penrith U20 squad in 2014 with a guaranteed top 25 first grade player contract in 2015. Tassell said after weighing interest from ther NRL clubs. Player AgentoSteve Dealcon, and Albert feltthe Pather’s offer wasthe best balance for Albert’s welfare on and offthe field.

 

Sandis Tsaka, Deputy Chairman ofthPNGRFL, also said Albert had a very good group of experienced people around him to ensure he is successful and to guide him right through his Career.
