The Institute of National Affairs has urged that parties involved in upcoming resource project negotiations need to do so more transparently and hold institutions accountable.
In a recent interview with Business PNG, INA Executive Director, Paul Barker, said that previous projects, including the PNG LNG project, have demonstrated the lack of firm negotiations.
Also on this episode, more than 350 participants representing National, Provincial and District Finance Offices gathered in Buin for the National Finance Managers Conference; the event, the largest to be hosted by South Bougainville to date.
Finance Minister James Marape was present to address the event, reminding participants of the important roles they play in the development of Papua New Guinea.
