Buk Bilong Pikinini expands into settlement school

TheWorld Vision and Bek Belong Pikinini partnership project has gone to backthe Educational needs of a school that lack basics -the Evadahana Primary School at 9-mile Port Moresby.

It now has one ofthe most important fundamentals of any school, a library.

 

Evadahana Primary School was packed with children, students’ parents and partnership organizations. They turned out to withness a new level of learning for kids.

 

Bek Belong Pikinini has developed programs to strenthen community awareness, participation and ownership to prepare children before entering formal education.

 

Evadahana Primary School made available two classrooms for the library.

 

School Headmaster Samuel Wala saidthe library will take learning to a new level for kids andthe communitythere.

 

Country Director forWorld Vision Curt Beguslawski said Bek Belong Pikinini fosters reading and raise children’s aspirations and literacy rates.

 

This community is one of four targeted communities in NCD.
