Buin Town is expected to see changes of development with the sealing of roads.
Road works launched yesterday will see Raibro Construction Limited sealing select town roads at the cost of K4.8 million as part of Australia’s long running partnership to help maintain Bougainville’s road network.
South Bougainville MP, Timothy Masiu thanked the Australian Government for partnering with the Autonomous Bougainville Government and the Government of Papua New Guinea in service delivery.
Australian Deputy High Commissioner, Bronte Moules, says the project was consistent with Australia’s long-term commitment to investing in key economic infrastructure in Papua New Guinea.
Its expected to be completed in the middle of this year.
