Bomana Inmates End Festive Season with Games Finals

By Jaylee Sapias – EM TV Sport, Port Moresby

Following a week long sporting competition at the Bomana Minimum Security Unit, 114 prisoners have ended their festive season celebration with the finals of their domestic sports competition.

The inmates were put into four groups as per their cell blocks and played three sports over the festive season.

Cell 1 proved to be the better team of the four, winning overall the most points in the internal competition.

The tournament, which was sponsored by the families of the Inmates, was a success, according to Sergent Major, Damien Ayebaibai.

Ayebaibai commended the inmates for behaving well throughout the competition as there were no problems encountered.

The games ended on a high note with the sharing of the goods, which included soft drinks and snacks.
