The Beack Cat Track incident has raised concerns amongstthe Salamaua villages inthe Huon Gulf District in Morobe Province.
EMTV received a copy ofthe signed petition overthe weekend addressed to Minister for Tourism, Art and Culture Beka Condra fromthe people of Lagui, Nuknuk and Kela villages
One ofthe Points raised is for the Beack Cat Track to be closed untin PNG Tourism Promotion Authority andthe Morobe Tourism Bereau provide a report onthe operations ofthe Tracking venture.
The Salamaua people want a tabled report ofthe managementogovernance, safety and security strategic plan ofthe track similar tothe Kokoda Track governance.
