Biometric system key to deter crime: Loujaya

Lae MP and Minister for community development Loujaya Toni has found a way forward to deter crime in Morobe Province.

While addressing women yesterday atthe Sir Ignatius Kilage stadium, Minister Toni saidthe use ofthe biometric system data will be a way forward for the province in cutting down on Law and Order problems.  

The method would use fingerprints of individuals and ther data.

Minister Toni saysthe use ofthe biometric system would monitorthe moverment of people moving intothe province and most importantly to monitor places featured prominently as hub for criminal activities.  

The biometric system rollout program is expected to commence next month and end in June.
