As if the using the audio footage from 1986 challenger space shuttle disaster on her XO track did not spark enough outrage, just prepare yourself for her latest instagram upload.
Earlier this week, Queen Bey posted a photo without a caption, where she poses on a bench top sitting in front of Leonardo Davinci’s famous “The Last supper” painting, blocking Jesus Christ.
According to the Gospel of Matthew, The Last Supper, is the last meal Jesus had with his disciples where he predicts what he is about to do for mankind: shed his blood to forgive their sins, and welcome The New Covenant.
In the snap, the “single ladies” singer is wearing a Green Mini skirt and a white crop top that is…revealing. Her pose is in some way seductive and the painting is veiled.
The 32 year old mother, whose singing career kicked off from a Christian church has offended and outraged not only the Christian community but the rest of world.
According to the Huffington post, the picture was taken on the bench of a Miami Juice Bar, featuring an Andy Warhol Mural of The Last Supper with Camouflage.
Her instagram followers were quick to comment on the photo, one wrote “I’m agnostic but respect religion and those who have faith. I can see why posing in front of a replica of the Last Supper, using her image to block out Jesus, could offend. Not matter whether she is isn’t religious herself, this controversial move is disrespectful to many.”
“Looks like the Last Supper, instead of Jesus its Beyonce. Ummm epic fail boo. Jesus Christ is my savior, not you. Beside that, I Love Beyonce, but you will never be God”, said another.
Some even went on to comment, Bey or Beysus?
The singer is yet to respond to the media frenzy she has caused.
