Basketball PNG has big plans for the sport, not only in the country but in the region. With new Executive Officer, Joel Khalu, at helm the future of basketball looks bright.
At the launching of the new look logo and unveiling of the federation’s mission and theme, current members of the national men’s basketball side expressed their excitement with the plans in place for PNG basketball.
Current members of the national men’s basketball team are excited about the direction basketball in PNG is heading and believe it will be a boost for players throughout the country.
One of the senior members of the team, Dia Muri, said it is an exciting era to be stepping into for basketballers throughout the country and he is keen on what is in store.
PNG Basketball’s partnership with FIBA Oceania aims to grow interest in the sport of basketball, not only in Papua New Guinea, but in the region as well.
