Barras Bounce Back at T-20 Qualifier

ThPNG Hebou Barramundis ’ bounced back with a 5 wicket victory over Bermuda inthe Twenty-20 qualifier atthe ICC Academy Oval 2 in Dubai.

Skipper Chris Amini wonthe toss and batted first inthe likes of Assad Vala and Tony Ura openingthe innings.

 

Barras seasoned campaigner Maharu Dai joined Tony Ura, andthe pair put on a solid partnership of 76 runs.

 

Barras continuedtheir good form with fair efforts from Charles Amini, who recorded 32 runs, while Dai notched up 66, placin PNG at 168 runs oftheir allotted overs.

 

Bermuda made a slow comeback, only to record 7 for 125 atthe 18th over. Willie Gavera’s bowling sentthem out at 9 for 143.

 

Barras have secured 5th spot in pool Be and will advance to take on pool A 4th place Namibia onthe 27th of Novermber, 2013.
