Barramundis creates history

ThPNG Hebou Barramundi’s will bethe firsPNG National Cricket team to participate in an Australian domestic competition.

CrickePNG andthPNG Hebou Barramundis have createPNG’sporting history afterthey were confirmed to compete in South Australia Cricket Association’s.

Among four teams from South Australia andthe Nothern TerritoryPNG isthe sixth team confirmed to participate inthe Premier League competition. This will ensure cricketers play each ther in a regular competition, played on first class facilities managed by South Australia Cricket Association.

Participation inthe Premier League will be a pre-requisite for selection for the West End Redbacks.

CrickePNG anPNG Hebou Barramundi’s commends Hebou Constructions and ther sponsors for their continuous support. The team wouldn’t make it this far withouttheir backing.

General Manager of CrickePNG, Greg Campbell expects that players will be keenly watched and this givesthem opportunity to be fit and ready for the ICCWorld T20 Qualifiers in Dubai later this year.
