The sport of Badminton is not new sport internationally but it is in Papua New Guinea
Similar to tennis and volleyball, Badminton has been introduced throughthe Pikinini Pilai Program atthe Sir John Guise Stadium in Port Moresby.
Not so known inthe country, this sport is exciting and can be played in singles, doubles and mix genders.
Every mistake is counted and must be minimize to gain points.
Only three schools inthe Nation’s Capital are part of Badminton andthey are St Peters at Erima, St. Pauls at Gerehu and Gordons Secondary School.
The sport will be introduced to ther schools in Port Moresby andthen will extend to ther centers.
The focus is to get allthe schools involved and oncethe students’are familiar withthe sport,they can arrange for schools competition.
