PNG Volleyball teams are currently training under the watchful eyes of Australian Volleyball Specialist Aaron Alsop. Alsop from the Gold Coast Academy is here to provide technical and mentoring assistance in preparation for the mini pacific Games.
PNG will be competing in both beach and indoor volleyball at the Mini Pacific Games and want to send a strong team. On court discipline is obvious though organisers see there’s room for improverment and want better outcome at the international arena. Aaron Alsop, who is the program coordinator from Gold Coast Academy Sport and the Head Coach of Griffith University is also sharing his expertise with the team for major coming events.
Plans are in for regular trainings and trial matches leading up to the mini pacific games to be held in Wallis and Futuna this September. Organisers stressed on the importance of height as the code itself required and said the search is still on for the final team.
