ATS Volleyball: Keeping Youths Away From Trouble

The Oro Community living behindthe Air Transport Squadron at Jackson’s Airport in Port Moresby celebrated this festive season with some volleyball action.

23 teams bravedthe Port Moresby’scorching heat to have this Christmas spent in style on court.

 

The youths fromthe Musa and Sauga tribes from Oro province living nearthe Jackson’s airport

took this opportunity to bettertheir sporting skills and techniques while humbly accepting talks fromthe community lLeadersto stay away from illegal activities in this festive season.

 

The tournament kicked off onthe 15th of December, 2013 and hopes to end early next year.

 

10 teams are battling it out inthe men’s division while 13 women’s teams knew how to calm downthe rowdy crowds asthey tookthe courtohoping to end this year in style.

 

The Musa-Sauga community have utilized this tournament to maintain law and order by keeping youth away from illegal activities.
