Assault In Wau

A man in his 20s has been admitted to the Wau hospital after he was severely beaten by at least three men.

Timothy Kasok, suffered injuries to his head face and hands   in the attack.   Wau police said he was beaten by intoxicated relatives of his girlfriend. 

                      

This is the latest incident in a string of serious crimes in the small mining town of Wau.

 

Wau   has one of the highest crime rates in the Morobe province.

 

About 6 serious assault cases and 3 armed robberies are reported to police every month.
