Angoram wants Ludwig to switch camp

The newly elected member for Angoram, Ludwig Schulze was urged by the people of Angoram to immediately leave Namah camp and join O’Neill camp where Grand Chief Sir Michael Somare is.

They say this must happen immediately before Parliament meets for the election of the Speaker and Prime Minister.

They expressed their view saying the people of Angoram have suffered enough and their hope now was Ludwig who must be in Government in order to allow flow of services to the people.

Like other river electorates in the country, Angoram is a very difficult zone to manage in terms of providing government services with rising fuel costs to travel distances on waterways compare to land transport.

The people says that the “impact” Angoram Cocoa Coconut Project of Arthur Somare (former MP) today provides the much needed cash for these backwater river people yet much is needed in social services, infrastructure and economic development activities for this isolated electorate.

Schulze was officially endorsed as a Pangu Pati candidate of which Pangu has political marriage and understanding with the National Alliance, Melanesian Alliance, and the People’s United Assembly who now formed coalition with PNC Party.

Mr. Schulze was reported to have been picked up on a helicopter from Painbus (Wom beach) near Wewak soon after his declaration last week and taken to Vanimo to join Belden Namah.

Meanwhile, the Namah camp has now relocated to Kokopo’s Rapopo plantation where they were “poaching” especially Independent MPs to secure the numbers to form the Government.
