Air Niugini staff put smiles on children’s faces

By Fabian Hakalits – EMTV Port Moresby

For Air Niugini staff this Christmas, it’s not only about managing an airline company’s operations.

Children with special needs at Cheshire Homes were all smiles when several Air Niugini staff members surprised them with Christmas gifts and food.

The staff, mostly from the Corporate Quality and Safety Department, raised funds through their social club to cater for this worthy cause.

The team was led by group leader, Sonia Sebulon.

“We were able to buy little things like chocolates, sweet biscuits, fruits, toiletries, tinned food and rice. But most importantly, seeing smile on the faces of these children gave us a great satisfaction,” she said

“We are planning a bigger and better event for 2016,” she said

The Cheshire Home Management thanked Air Niugini for their kind gesture towards these children.

Air Niugini, through Kumul Consolidated Holdings, has been supportive towards charity organisations like Cheshire Homes, offering airfares for their staff to travel around the country to carry out their work.
