AFL Coaches and athletes from around the country ended their Level One Accreditation course organised by AFL Australia and AFL Pacific Development Officer Ben Drew, through the PNG AFL.
The program saw both indoor group activities on preparations, and planning, coaching activities before training sessions, and covering elements such as warm up, stretching, touch work skills, Game Sense, fitness, competitive strategies, and strength and obstacle solutions in games.
He says seeing women participate in the course, and the competitions around the country, is something AFL PNG is doing to promote gender equality, and stop violence against women.
Australian Community football Operations Manager, Andrew Hughes, said the course will help all coaches and athletes perform at higher levels in their communities, as well as in local competition.
