Hawthorn Hawks defeated West Coast Eagles, 107-points to 61 to take out the 2015 Toyota AFL cup this afternoon at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
The infamous home of Aussie Rules vented into a roar when Hawks, Luke Hodge plastered a gaol in the first quarter.
And the big plays continued into the second quarter when Andy Birshell posted a goal for the Hawks.
By half-time, Hawks, extended their lead from 13-points in the first quarter to 31-points; Hawks leading 57-points to 26.
An untidy defence and missed opportunities in converting sufficient turnovers costed West coast greatly in the crucial third and final quarter.
Through a throttled defence, West Coast managed to post a goal and a behind, to Hawks, 6-goals and one-behind. With Hawks further extending their lead in the third quarter.
However West Coast bounced back with three goals and two-behinds to Hawks two-goals and one behind, but was not enough to narrow the margin.
Hawks banking a third premiership cup in a row.
