All political parties will be registered to endorse candidates contesting in this year’s Bougainville General Election.
The appointment of Joseph Kaipu as ABG Political Parties Registrar by the Bougainville Executive Council will speed up this process.
Bougainville Electoral Commissioner, George Manu, speaking from Buka said that the appointment was crucial, as the autonomous region enters into an important era, decider of its political status.
Mr Manu said that the new registrar has vast experience, in similar fields, within the Bougainville Public Service and his appointment is not a mistake.
Mr Manu said, past elections in the Autonomous Region of Bougainville have been successful and its important there is a registrar in that position, to facilitate the areas, that require its presence.
Mr Kaipu was thanked for taking up this important appointment.
The new Political Parties Registrar took office this week.
