In May this year, Parramatta Eels Captain, Kieran Foran, was ruled out of the 2016 season, after a meet between his team and the New Castle Knights saw the Star Halfback ruled out for the remainder of the season, with a shoulder injury.
Just in September, Foran signed a one-year contract with the New Zealand Warriors, though; he has been battling with NRL to approve him for next season.
The signing of Foran into the Warriors is seen as an advantage, since they were not the only ones who are after his signature.
Canterbury Bulldogs and the St George Illawara Dragons expressed interest to sign him up also, but were eventually, outdone by the Warriors’ offer.
Warriors New Coach, Stephen Kearney observes Foran’s presence in the team looks promising.
The 26-year-old is expected to be in full training tomorrow.
Though the NRL has not made any move as yet to approve Foran’s contract with the Warriors, Coach Kearney remains optimistic.
The warriors will play their first 2017 season match in four months’ time, and their coach is not troubled about the NRL’s issuance of approval for Kieran Foran.
Finishing 10th on the NRL ladder this year, and this new addition may help them improve their standing next season.
