Minister for Commerce & Trade and Member for Yangoru Sausia Richard Maru announced thatthe Waigani Supreme Court dismissed a leave application by former Member for Yangoru Saussia Peter Wararu to reviewthe National Court decision to dismiss his election petition onthe grounds of incompetency.
Deputy Chief Justice Gibbs Salika found no grounds to warrant an appeal.
A relieved Minister Maru thanked God for his win and said it was a win for the people.
“There were no grounds tothe appeal. The National Court to dismissthe court petition onthe grounds of incompetence,” announced Maru.
“We now have to put or differences aside and servethe people who vote for me.
“We need to get togther and mover on withthe agenda to change our district.”
