Trukai Industries, as the Major Sponsors for the Harlequins Rugby Football Union Club in Port Moresby, presented Bavaroko Primary School with School Sporting kits and equipment.
Harlequins RFUC have been using the school ovals to train for the locals Capital Rugby Union competition in Port Moresby.
Trukai Industries have also brought former Kumul, David Westley on board to conduct coaching and mentoring clinics throughout the school presentations during the week.
Trukai Industries in Partnership with Harlequins RFUC as part of their respective community service programs presented Bavaroko Primary School with Sports Equipment.
To further strengthen their community engagement, Trukai Industries have brought former Kumul, David Westley, to coach and mentor students of Bavaroko Primary School and mentoring players of the Harlequins Rugby Union club.
With ten years playing in various clubs in the NRL and his experience as a coach, David Westley hopes to pass on his experience through the “David Westley Sports Consultancy” to young footballers.
As a parent of three boys, his message was simple, stay in school, eat healthy and stay focused.
Harlequin’s current players also made time available to assist Westley to conduct basic football drills with the students.
And will be presenting school sports kits and equipment to Wild Life Primary School and Wardstrip Primary School this week.
In this weekend’s Capital Rugby Union Semi-finals do-or-die matches, Harlequins will face Spartans in the women’s Division, while in the men’s premier division; Harlies will go up against university to retain their premiership title.
