Two Identified over Shooting of Club Manager

Port Moresby Police have identified two men allegedly involved in the shooting of a club Manager last week.

However, police are yet to make arrests.

It has been five days since the incident occurred near the Fortune Club, in Port Moresby.

But police are yet to make arrests, or bring in any suspects for questioning.

The incident, occurred last Thursday morning as two employees of Fortune Club were on their way to deposit money, the club made during the festive period.

According to witnesses then, the two employees were followed by suspects in another vehicle, who fired gun shots at them, before injuring the employees and made a get away with an undisclosed sum of money.

In an interview with the NCD Met Sup last week, owners of business houses were urged to ask for police escort when transporting large sums of money.

This is to minimise armed robberies in the Nation’s Capital.
