53 Youths graduate from ‘Youth of Change Yoga Teacher Program’

A total of 53 youths in city has graduated from the Youth of Change Yoga Teacher Program yesterday (20 August 2018) in Laguna Hotel.

A program under the NCDC’s Active City Development Program targeted at young people who are unemployed and not in school.

Speaking at their graduation, Governor Powes Parkop says the program was intended to enhance the quality of life.

Mr Parkop added that the program has proven to be a game changer.

Most these youths came from broken homes, unemployed, dropped out of school and lives on the streets of Port Moresby.

Yoga Trainer and Program Manageress, Fazilah Bazari hoped that these youths would be resourceful after having attended the program for almost an year.

Also there to witness the graduation ceremony were representatives from NCDC, parents and guardians.
