There is a slight increase of budget allocation for the education sector.
Education Minister, Nick Kuman said they will continue to work hard for the delivery of quality education in the country.
Minister Kuman thanked the National Government for increasing their budget.
The budgetary appropriation for the education sector has seen an increase of 8.8 percent.
The development budget is almost K260million that will cater for education reforms in the country.
Meanwhile, a strategic change to improve quality and standards is to phase-out the elementary school, which is part of the formal education system restructure.
Under the new Ward Service Improvement Program, each MP will be allocated K20million for education capacity building.
