2015 Pacific Games Preparations into Techno Level

Papua New Guineas will withnessthe 2015 Pacific Games throughoutthe country on mobile phones and live site, as well as through internet.

This was made possible by TelikoPNG coming on board as platinum sponsor as well as providing telecommunication services atthe Games.  

 

It was revealed bythe Minister for Public Enterprise and StateInvestments Ben Micah, that a modernized technology will be introduced for all who are not able to withnessthe match in Port Moresby will able to access throughtheir mobile phones or at live site and through internet.

 

Sport and Pacific Games Minister, Justin Tkatchenko elaborated on Public Private Partnership and looks at forging relationship with private sectors to come on board to make this event a memorable which will leave as a legacy for the years to come.  

 

Minister Tkatchenko also clearedthe air that all games will be played only in Port Moresby and no ther centers.

 

TelikoPNG through its Chairman Mahesh Patel gave an assurance to be a courier providing extensive coverage using latest telecommunication technology for the country andthe world.

 

He said Telikom’s engineers are currently working onthe master plan which will soon eventuate.

 

The sponsorship worth K8.7 million and involves broadband internetoand mobile telephone services, as well as allocation of office space broadcast centers.

 

Meanwhile, venues yet to be tendered are Sir John GuiseIndoor Complex; Rita Flynn Netball Court while Sir Hubert Murray Stadium will undergo major upgrade afterthe National Court ruled a decision in favor ofthe government to carry outthe work.
