The PNG Women’s U-20 team left for New Zealand late yesterday for their final overseas tour before their match against Brazil in the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup next month.
The team will be in New Zealand for about a week and will play three trial matches against New Zealand’s U-20 and U-17 sides to further boost their World Cup campaign.
Coach Lisa Cole will take the time to polish-up the squad when they face New Zealand’s best.
This is the final selected 21 member squad who will represent PNG in the much anticipated FIFA U-20 World.
However, the American coach ,says the team is focusing on how the Brazilians are going to play and their strategies both in attacking and defending.
The team will return on the 6th of November before their opening match against Brazil on November 13th at the Sir John Guise Stadium.
