12 PNG Athletes to Attend 5th Commonwealth Youth Games in Samoa

There is less than 10 days to go before the 5th Commonwealth Youth Games in Samoa gets underway.

Papua New Guinea will be sending 12 young athletes over to participate in 6 different sporting codes: athletics, boxing, tennis, swimming, weightlifting and squash.

The Games will feature 1,000 young commonwealth athletes age 14t to 18 years old.

The young athletes will represent their country to compete for Gold medals in 9 sports in over 5 days from September 5 to 9.

The PNG Olympic Committee will announce the flag carrier for team PNG  at the farewell dinner at the Taurama Aquatic Centre.
