Port Moresby AFL

The heat is on in the Port Moresby AFL competition, as teams’ battle for the top spot.

 

In the premier men’s division Koboni sits comfortably on 20 points after round six.

Round 7 matches were played yesterday.

In the women’s division, Gordons Kokofa’s played against Taurama Suns.

With Taurama Suns leading with 11 goals, 10 behinds, winning with 76 points over Gordon’s Kokofa’s,13 points.

While Lamana Dockers played Gulf Giants with lamina Dockers behind with 4 points leaving Giants with 22 points win.

In the last game, Uni Tigers in an unbeatable escape, managed to let lose taking over the Gerehu Magpies with a whopping 13 goals, 6 behinds and scoring with an outstanding 84 points to Gerehu Magpies nil.

Rex Leka was quite impressed by the performance of the women.

AFL is one way in general to bring young people together and to keep them away from trouble and other misleading and violent behaviors.

Next week will see game 8 of the competitions, with more great action.
