by Fabian Hakalits – EM TV News, Port Moresby

The communities of Kutubu in the Southern Highlands Province are proud and have all the reason to celebrate the academic achievements of their children.

The communities are now looking forward, for the first batch of grade 12 students, school leavers, who will graduate at Kutubu Secondary School this year.

In history’s pages, these students have become the pioneers of Kutubu Secondary School, who will be celebrating with flying colours come their graduation day.

Locals told EMTV News, it’s a relief because their children had to travel all the way to Mangol and Nipa, to attend classes.

Thomas Lagai, one of the locals who works with the Kutubu Security Services said that six schools are within the Pimaga District, of the Nipa Kutubu Electorate, in Southern Highlands Province.

Mr Lagai said that students can now continue on to grade nine at the Kutubu Secondary School.
