PNG’s track and field star, Peniel Richard, says his target for next year is the 2019 Pacific Games in Samoa.

Peniel, who is training at the National Sports Institute in Goroka, says his preparations are going well.

He is currently undergoing strength and conditioning as part of his training and preparations at NSI, attended the recent National Athletics Championships in Port Moresby to test his fitness level.

Peniel says he has now set his sights on next year’s Pacific Games, but in the meantime, attending other competitions in Australia will also be equally important.

While working on his weak points, Peniel is incorporating various types of training to keep fit and ready for any upcoming fixtures. He says frequent competition is what he needs.
