PAUPNGSDP Visits Western Province Students

ThPNG Sustainable Development assured Western Province students’ofthe Pacific Adventist University yesterday that it will continue to invest inthe needs ofthe province’s people.

PNGSDP Chief Executive Officer, David Sode, presented twenty four laptops tothe students’to enhancetheir learning. Parents and staff ofthe university were also part ofthe occasion.

 

Mr Sode outlined plans thaPNGSDP had for the province and encouraged students’to return home and strenthenthe workforce so that such plans can come to fruition.

 

He explained &nbspthe work ofPNG DP and how honesty and accountability can help Western province work towards establishing itself as a well-developed province in Papua New Guinea

 

Students were also concerned aboutthe mine life extension andthe 1.5 billion kina that is held in trust off-shore. One parent asked ifthe government will have access tothe funding once it takes complete ownership ofthe mine next year.

 

Meantime, Mr Sode sain PNG DP hasthe responsibility of managing its resources, one of which is investing in students’ He said an honest and accountable human resource will ensure tangible development.
